Doc Augusten – Connecting Through Documentaries

DOC AUGUSTEN is a collaborative project between Doc Lounge and MKBS Fastigheter AB in Malmö. The aim of this project is to show current documentary films to the older residents of Malmö. The goal is to create new connections and reduce loneliness. Doc Lounge has been hosting unique events in Malmö for over 15 years. Each night with Doc Lounge includes a recent documentary film, followed by discussions and fun activities like art and music. Working with MKBS Fastigheter AB, Doc Lounge is taking DOC AUGUSTEN a step further. We want to reach an even wider group of people. This project is made to include older folks who, for different reasons, can’t or don’t want to go to the usual events at Babel. Instead, they bring inspiring documentaries closer to their homes, giving them a chance to socialize and watch extrodinary documentaries together.
