WHO WE ARE

DOC LOUNGE is a non-profit organisation, founded in 2006, working with distribution and outreach for documentary films through events and innovation projects. We coordinate a screening network of Doc Lounge Clubs in 19 cities in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland. Our head office and flagship club is situated in Malmö, Sweden. Föreningen Doc Lounge (Doc Lounge Head Office and Doc Lounge Malmö) is funded by national, regional and local public funding. Other Doc Lounge clubs is run and funded independently.

This data policy applies to Föreningen Doc Lounge, meaning Doc Lounge Head Office and Doc Lounge Malmö.

WHY DO WE COLLECT PERSONAL DATA?

  • To administer your subscription to our various newsletters from Doc Lounge Head Office or Doc Lounge Malmö, so that you can be informed about activities, surveys and general information that can be of interest to you as an audience, partner or press contact of Doc Lounge. Please note that you can unsubscribe from our mailing list at any time by clicking the “Unsubscribe” button in the bottom of any newsletter.
  • To be able to process applications for jobs, internships or volunteers.
  • To understand our audiences/participants and improve our organization and activities through collecting and analysing statistics data.
  • To be able to correctly report on our activities to local, regional or national funders or funding partners or co-producers of events.
  • To be able to maintain member lists

At our Doc Lounge Malmö events, we usually take photographs to catch the general atmosphere. You are always welcome to let us know that you don’t want us to take your picture, or remove any picture or video with you in it.

WHAT TYPES OF DATA DO WE COLLECT?

  • Personal data such as name and e-mail when you sign up for our newsletters or press list.
  • Images and videos in which you may appear in relation to your participation in our activities.
  • Personal data handed to us in relation to competitions and surveys. This may include name, e-mail and your answers to a possible survey.
  • Personal data which you leave with us when you apply for a job, an internship or as a volunteer.
  • Personal data shared with us when you contact us by phone or e-mail

WHAT ARE YOUR RIGHTS?

According to the GDPR, you can at any time make use of any of the following:

  • The right to insight into your personal data in our records.
  • The right to correct your personal data in our records.
  • The right to have your personal data deleted from our records.
  • The right to decline the processing of your personal data.

This does not apply to data which we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal or security-related matters.

HOW DO WE PROTECT YOUR PERSONAL DATA?

Doc Lounge collects and stores your data in a confidential way, using password protected databases only accessed by a limited number of relevant employees.

We will only keep your data for as long your contact with us is active, and we will revise our lists every third year and remove any contact that is no longer active.

WHO WILL RECIEVE YOUR PERSONAL DATA?

We will never sell your information to any third parties. in certain cases, however, we might exchange your personal data with the following parties

  • Web services approved by Doc Lounge to administrate our activities
  • Funders and public institutions if required by law

You accept our Data Policy when visiting doclounge.se and when you make use of our services (newsletters, attending events, engageing with our organisation etc.)
